As you may already know, Friday 17th November is the official day of fundraising for BBC Children in Need Appeal. Ormiston Herman Academy is excited to be joining with many others around the UK to participate in the fundraising programme.
The theme this year is the ‘Big Spotacular’ and we will be holding a non-uniform day where children are encouraged to wear spotty clothes or any suitable form of non-uniform. We are asking for a £1 donation to participate. The Children in Need Appeal is participating in the Round Pound Countdown and we would like pupils to search high and low for old pound coins and bring these in to donate.
The Big Spotacular will help your child learn about the lives of disadvantaged children across the whole of the UK, whilst developing skills like communication, teamwork and decision-making. Throughout the day, children will be taking part in a range of fun Children in Need themed activities within their classrooms.
Finally, KS2 children will be able to purchase iced Pudsey biscuits at tuck on Friday 17th November.
Let’s make a big difference to the lives of children in the UK.
Thank you for your continued support!
