Birch Class put their golfing skills to the test this week, when they visited Bure Park for a day of pitch and putt. Pupils travelled by public transport to the course located between Great Yarmouth and Caister. Children competed against each other in groups of four, with most pupils completing at least thirteen out of a possible eighteen holes. Children thoroughly enjoyed playing the game, and with scores being noted, the competition between pupils was intense! The children learnt how to use the different golf clubs, as well as showing incredible hand-eye co-ordination when taking their shots.
Kayleigh, a year 6 pupil said, ” It’s the most fun I’ve had while playing golf!”
Robbie added, ” It was fun and the best part was when I got a hole in two!”
