World Book Day celebrations (at last!)

Posted on: March 5, 2018

We were finally able to celebrate World Book Day today after having to cancel it last week due to the extreme weather; it was definitely worth waiting for!

The day began with a special assembly where staff members told the children which book character they had wanted to be as a child and why. Mrs Pettit even demonstrated her ‘pointe technique’ and stood upright on her toes whilst telling the children about her favourite character Angelina Ballerina.

Throughout the day, the children were able to participate in a range of book themed activities including writing about their favourite book characters.

All in all, it was a fantastic day. As always with these kind of events, a huge thank you must go to parents and carers for the phenomenal amount of effort that had clearly gone into costumes!
