Year 1 Children in Need Day!

Posted on: November 16, 2018

All Year 1 children arrived to school dressed in their pyjamas and spots this morning. As soon as they stepped foot in the door a class photo was taken together and activities begun! Biscuits were decorated ready for the ‘Year 1’ biscuit sale in the afternoon. Tools were collected and ideas were shared before decorating begun. Pudsey masks were created and appropriate colours were used for Pudsey’s bandage to remember all the children who were and still are poorly. The story of ‘Pudsey’s Great Fundraiser’ was shared and in no time it was lunch time! The biscuit sale was soon set up and children gathered their 2p coins ready to purchase a Pudsey biscuit decorated by someone in their class. When all money was given, it was totalled with the help of everyone counting in their 2’s. The total was taken to Mrs Patterson in the school office and added to the school fund. Ideas were shared of who our money could help and what it could be used for. A lovely day had by all! Oh and of course the biscuits were enjoyed!
