Public praise of pupil behaviour!
Posted on: June 28, 2018
On Tuesday evening, a group of Year 5 and 6 pupils attended the evening performance of Shrek at Norwich Theatre Royal. Not only did the pupils thoroughly enjoy the show, but the Academy has received am email from a member of the public commending them on their excellent behaviour and conduct whilst at the theatre. We are very proud of this group, and are delighted to be able to share the content of this email with you:
“We would just like to praise your young people for their excellent behaviour at Norwich Theatre Royal tonight.
I will be totally honest and say that when I realised we were amongst a very large group of school children, I found myself rolling my eyes and thinking “just my luck”. I was very wrong to think this, as I have had worse theatre experiences next to grown adults! Your staff displayed excellent communication with the children before, during and after the performance.
Both myself and my partner appreciated you checking with us in the interval that the children were not upsetting us and we just wanted to reiterate how lovely it was to see such a large group of young people behave so maturely. My career is based around young people who struggle to manage their behaviour, therefore my expectations of behaviour are very high and I can honestly say your students pleased all of my expectations!
Please feel free to pass on this praise to your staff and students.”
A huge well done to all the pupils involved!
