Reception children make fish tanks!

Posted on: November 25, 2016

Reception children have been learning all about Rainbow fish! They have been doing lots of learning about sharing and being kind. The children have been retelling the story, and been doing some clever counting of rainbow fish’s scales and matching number to quantity. They even made their very own fish tank using different media and materials, selecting resources and even exploring with colour mixing! The children made a beautiful Rainbow fish puppet to go inside and into a ‘slot’ so that it is able to move! The children used their fish tank and puppet to learn all about positional language and also to make up their own story about Rainbow fish! The children are so proud of their fish tanks they all stood up in assembly to show them!
