Giant Moth Visits the Academy!

Posted on: November 1, 2017

Its not every day that a giant moth comes to visit children at the academy!

Today, Emily brought in an Attacus atlas moth that she has to show everyone in the academy. Her Granddad wrote in to explain that the moth does not need feeding and has a lifespan of around another week.

In the bottom of the vivarium, there is another chrysalis that is waiting to produce another moth to keep this one company.

Thank you Emily for bringing these in to share with us – fantastic item to count towards your Herman Enrichment Award.
