Year 5 - Geography

Year 5 have been learning about earthquakes as part of their Geography unit this half term.

The children thought about the structure of buildings and what methods may be used to create ‘earthquake-proof’ houses. Once the children had built their structure, we tested them and discovered that the force on the triangular based shape is balanced out and therefore can withstand heavy weights.
