Earlier this week Acorn Nursery children have enjoyed picking and tasting some of the produce that they have been growing in their EYFS garden; strawberries and radishes being their first harvest. To encourage the children’s knowledge and understanding of where foods come from and healthy eating, the nursery children have been involved in planting and caring for the plants.
Mrs Speed, teaching assistant said, “This term we have been spending a lot of time and effort in making our garden an inviting place to be. The nursery is also entering the Gt Yarmouth In Bloom competition so that we can proudly show off our efforts.”
