On Tuesday 22nd July the senior year hosted a special leaving assembly to staff, pupils and parents. Pupils sang songs including ‘When I grow up’  which featured in the theatre production of Matilda, which they had been lucky enough to see when they visited London in June this year. Poems, all about journeys, were read out, which the children had written in Literacy lessons.Special memories of time spent at Ormiston Herman Academy, as well as Herman Primary School were remembered and shared.Pupils were awarded with certificates at the end of the assembly, to wish them well, all of which had been signed by members of staff.Parents joined their children and staff for refreshments after the performance, where they had the opportunity to take photographs.

Chloe, a year 6 pupil said, “School’s been really fun and I will miss all the teachers because they’ve all been so kind.”

Harrison added, “I will miss the school because it’s helped me learn alot, especially in Maths and with my Reading.”
